This scan effect post process shader has been created in Unreal Engine 4. The shader is interactive through exposed material parameters, which allow the developer to modify various properties.

 

Parameters:

  • Color: Allows the user to change the pattern’s color.

  • Intensity:  Allows the user to specify the amount of emissive color

  • Hardness: Controls the percentage of the mask subtracted from the center of the mask

  • Radius: Controls the size of the mask around the camera.

  • Texture: Allows the user to change the pattern

  • Tilling: Allows the user to change the pattern’s size.
