About
This disintegration shader has been created in Unreal Engine. It’s a simple yet modular and cheap way of achieving one of the most used effects on games. The shader is interactive through exposed material parameters, which allow the developer to modify various properties.
Parameters:

Distance to border: Controls the distance from the emissive color to the opacity mask zone.

Hardness: Controls the gradient’s width.

Intensity: Controls the amount of emissive color.
