Shader: Procedural Image Mask

This image mask shader has been created in Unreal Engine. It easily helps to mask out a rectangular part of a texture to affect only some regions with other effects without the need to use external programs. The shader is interactive through exposed material parameters, which allow the developer to modify various properties.

Parameters:

  • Anchor Points: Controls the point of rotation of the image.

  • Offsets: Controls the extra offset the mask has en XY.

  • Rotate: Controls the rotation of the mask from the anchorpoint

  • Scales: Controls the scale of the mask from it’s centre.

  • Texture: Allows the user to select the texture applied to the mesh

  • Background Color: Allows the user to select the color outside the image.
